The day was sunny, and very hot. Too hot in my opinion for this garden caper. First the whole weed-filled patch was de-weeded then dug over, compost was forked in, then the planting started. I, of course helped the best I could, checking which tree had the best shade, where the coolest breeze was, and what was happening at the front gate...the furthest part of the yard from the garden. Now and then I would re-locate a weed or three to other parts of the yard, but most of the time I was shade-side.
We planted some lettuce, tomatoes, broccoli, basil, capsicums, and celery. It's all rabbit food as far as I am concerned, good to feed the creature I dine on, but it makes mummy strangely happy to have the little plantlings rooted contentedly in the patch.

And then we were done! The big piles of weeds went into the compost heap for next time, the garden tools were de-dirted and stored back in the garage, and we all sat down for a cold drink, and a well deserved rest.
Ohhhhh Pocky....ya'll are making such a nice garden! MUAH! Gizzy
